The We Were Here series is an adventure game in which two players, isolated in separate rooms, must cooperate by communicating via walkie-talkies to solve puzzles and escape. The first title, We Were Here (2017), was originally created as a student project from Rotterdam, the Netherlands, gaining widespread attention that led to its expansion into a series. To date, five titles have been released.

The franchise has maintained popularity through collaborative livestreams and other community-driven initiatives, and continues to enjoy strong support from an active fanbase.

We Were Here and We Were Here Too, the first two entries in the series, were released on Nintendo eShop for Switch and Switch 2 on September 18. The third installment, We Were Here Together, will be available starting October 9. At the booth, visitors can experience a cross-platform demo using both the Nintendo Switch version and PlayStation 5 version of We Were Here Together.

According to Luite Dauma, Executive Producer at Total Mayhem Games, cross-platform multiplayer support is relatively rare among games released on Nintendo platforms. Therefore, this title’s cross-play feature has been carefully designed to allow more players across different platforms to enjoy cooperative gameplay together.

When asked about the company’s upcoming teaser project, Where Are We?, Dauma revealed only that it is intended to be the sixth entry in the We Were Here series. The Steam store page ( link ) has already been published, so checking out its graphical evolution would be worthwhile.

Additionally, a promotional event is underway at the booth: visitors who play the cross-play demo of We Were Here Together and add it to their Nintendo eShop wishlist will receive a badge holder/keychain featuring two characters magnetically connected—two sets in total.
