Hooded Horse has today (November 6, 2025) launched the Steam Early Access version of Minakata Dynamics’ new PC title, Whiskerwood. The game is priced at ¥3,980 (tax included), and a 20% discount will be available until November 21 as part of the release celebration sale.

Whiskerwood is a simulation game in which mice dispatched from a feline empire explore an unknown world while building a city. Responding to periodic demands sent from the Empire, players must establish efficient production systems to expand their urban settlement further.

In addition to fulfilling demands from the cats, players must also satisfy the needs of the mice who have settled in. Essential facilities such as food production, distribution networks, and medical services must be properly constructed. Due to seasonal changes affecting temperature, heating systems are also required.

Beyond simulation mechanics, the game features high-quality visuals, including lively animated movements of mice hopping about and intricately detailed facilities. Once a large city is completed, players will likely want to step back and admire it from afar.

The Early Access phase is scheduled to last one year, though this may vary depending on development progress. The developers plan continuous improvements and intend to add numerous new features in the full version, including fresh quests and expanded production chains.
