NHK will hold the live recording of “Symphonic Gamers 5 – The Melody of Adventure Beyond Time” at NHK Hall on November 16, 2025, as part of its 2025 NHK Music Festival programming. Doors open at 4:00 PM, with the performance starting at 5:00 PM.
This marks the fifth installment in the series and is the first since “Symphonic Gamers 4” six years ago. The event features renowned voice actor Ruriko Aoki, known for her passionate fandom of video games, and game director Masahiro Sakurai, famous for works such as Super Smash Bros., who will serve as MCs, passionately exploring the depth and charm of video game music.
The concert is set to feature numerous iconic tracks, including “Road of Meteor” from Kirby Air Ride, “Proof of a Hero” from the Monster Hunter series, “The Sun Rises” from Okami, and “This Blade” from Final Fantasy IX.

The woodwind section will be performed by the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Hiroshi Kuriya. Traditional Japanese instruments will be played by music ensemble HIDE×HIDE, and vocal performances will be provided by singer-songwriter Saya Asakura.
Admission is free but requires prior registration. Each person may apply only once. The application period closes on October 22 at 11:59 AM. In the event of excess applications, a lottery system will be used.
Successful applicants will receive an email notification starting from 1:00 PM on November 4 and will be mailed two-person entry tickets by around early November. Unsuccessful applicants will receive a rejection email after 3:00 PM on November 4.
The broadcast date for this performance has not yet been determined and will be announced via the official website when confirmed.
