Sega has announced that the “Sonic Racing CrossWorlds Nintendo Switch 2 Edition” (digital download version, ※) will be released on December 4, 2025. The price is 7,990 yen (tax included).
※The physical edition is scheduled for release in early 2026.
The Switch 2 version features enhanced graphics compared to the existing Switch edition, and allows gameplay at a higher frame rate. The game content remains unchanged from other platform versions.
Owners of the original Nintendo Switch version can purchase an upgrade pass (paid) to access the Switch 2 Edition. From December 4 through December 11, this pass will be available at 50% off—making early purchases especially worthwhile.
Additionally, those who buy between December 4 at 9:00 AM and December 18 at 8:59 PM will receive a bonus downloadable content pack called the “Wearhog Pack.”

Sega Corporation has decided to release the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition (digital version) of the critically acclaimed “Sonic Racing CrossWorlds” on Thursday, December 4, 2025.
Owners of the existing Nintendo Switch version can access the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition by purchasing only the upgrade pass (paid).
This game is a racing title developed by Sega’s elite racing team. It delivers unpredictable and thrilling race battles that transcend platform boundaries, enabling network multiplayer matches (crossplay) between players on different platforms worldwide. The Nintendo Switch 2 edition features enhanced graphics for a more stunning visual experience and higher frame rates compared to the original Switch version. (※)
