PLAYISM today (November 7, 2025) has released the PC game [Cling to Blindness: Blindfold Required Horror], developed by Lizardry, on Steam.
The regular price is 690 yen (tax included), but during a sale period ending November 17, it will be available for 621 yen (tax included) at a 10% discount.

This game is a horror title played exclusively by sound, with no visual display. Players must follow three rules: Never remove your blindfold, avoid being caught by Ashiotosan, and collect all five banknotes. Using the sound of wind chimes as their guide, players navigate through the game.

While the scare elements are kept subtle and there are no jump scares, a special feature called “Penguin Mode” has been added for those who still find it too frightening. Pressing the P key changes Ashiotosan’s footsteps into cute penguin sounds.

About the Game

This is a horror game played entirely by sound, with no visual display.

For example, if you hear a wind chime sound coming from your right earphone, it means there’s a wind chime to your right.
Try moving your mouse to the right to adjust your character’s direction.
Then, the sound should come straight ahead.
All that remains is to walk toward the wind chime.

Now you hear footsteps.
Turn your body to determine where they’re coming from.
It seems Ashiotosan is on your left side.
Quick—run away!

1. Never remove your blindfold.
2. Avoid being caught by Ashiotosan.
3. Collect all five banknotes.

You play as the protagonist, “Satsuki,” traveling to an abandoned village site to perform a ritual.

Listen closely.

If you hear footsteps—those are Ashiotosan’s.

Never let Ashiotosan catch up to you.

Collect the banknotes by following the sound of wind chimes.

Nothing appears on screen.

So don’t take off your blindfold until the end.

This is a blindfold-required horror game.

While Cling to Blindness keeps its scares subtle and avoids sudden loud noises or frightening visuals (i.e., no jump scares), we’ve added a special “Penguin Mode” for players who still find it too scary. Press the P key during gameplay to switch into this mode.
In Penguin Mode, Ashiotosan’s footsteps are replaced with cute penguin sounds. If you’ve been afraid to play due to fear or hesitant to try it—give Cling to Blindness a chance using Penguin Mode!

This title is stream-friendly. As the game relies entirely on sound, the screen remains blank by default. However, enabling visual aids will display positional information helpful for viewers.
