KONAMI today (September 27, 2025) announced various updates regarding the Suikoden series during its live-streamed information program titled “Suikoden Live at TGS 2025.9.27.”
First introduced was the upcoming latest installment in the series, “Suikoden STAR LEAP” (PC / iOS / Android), with producer Nobuya Fujimatsu and director Katsuki Menga attending the event. The team reviewed previously announced content, followed by the release of a new trailer unveiling details about the game’s “Headquarters.”
The trailer features various facilities available at the Headquarters—such as the “Monster Hunter,” “Blacksmith,” and **“Emblem Shop”—alongside their respective staff characters.

Additionally, several new content features were revealed: a mini-game that allows players to obtain materials for weapon enhancement and ingredients by recruiting specific characters; the “Suggestion Box,” where requests and troubles from allies accumulate; and “Dinner Parties,” which deepen bonds between companions and may awaken new abilities.

Other announcements included the main character’s name and a new image visual for the upcoming anime “Suikoden,” as well as the protagonist’s name and second visual for the stage production “Suikoden -The War of the Gate Emblems-,” and details about exhibits and merchandise for the “30th Anniversary Suikoden I & II Exhibition ~Fantasy Museum~.”

The timeless classic RPG “Suikoden” is finally making its stage debut! All promotional visuals for the stage production “Suikoden -The War of the Gate Emblems-” unveiled! Furthermore, at Konami Digital Entertainment’s booth during Tokyo Game Show 2025, the protagonist’s name (Bocchan) was officially announced as “Lian MacDowell”!

Since its release in 1995, KONAMI’s timeless classic RPG “Suikoden” series has captivated fans worldwide with its immense world and profound storytelling.
Now, the first installment of this legendary franchise—“Suikoden I”—will be adapted into a stage production titled “Suikoden -The War of the Gate Emblems-”, set to premiere in December 2025.
Today, we unveiled the second main visual and character solo visuals. The previously released first main visual featured “Bocchan” alongside Gremio; now, this new grand-scale image showcases key characters such as Tedd, Flick, Victor, Windy, and Barbarossa together.
Furthermore, during the Konami Digital Entertainment booth stage event at Tokyo Game Show 2025 on September 27 (Saturday), KONAMI’s Suikoden series IP supervisor Takahiro Sakiyama conducted a naming ceremony, officially announcing that the protagonist of the stage production (“Bocchan”) will be named “Lian MacDowell.”

The stage production “Suikoden -The War of the Gate Emblems-” will run in Tokyo from December 6th to 14th at Theater H (Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo) and in Kyoto from December 18th to 21st at Kyoto Theater (within Kyoto Station Building, Shimogyō-ku).

Nobuhito Nakayashiki
Won the Best Original Script Award at the 49th National High School Theater Festival for his play “Forged Macbeth” while still in high school. Founded and directed the theater troupe “Kaki Kuu Kyaku” in 2006 during his studies at Aoyama Gakuin University, taking on all creative responsibilities since its formation.
In addition to mainstage productions, he has led initiatives such as “Children’s Theater Project.” In recent years, he has directed numerous external projects. Notable works outside the troupe include: Stage play “Bungo Stray Dogs” (playwright & director), “World Trigger The Stage” (playwright & director), “Kuroko’s Basketball” (director), “Double” (director), and “Perigree” by Theater Group En (director). He has also written scripts for the Sanrio Puroland Show “Nakayoku Connect” and TBS Drama Stream’s “Love Guide,” as well as NHK FM Theater.
