Digital Extremes today (November 4, 2025) announced that the new side story “The Devil’s Triangle” will be implemented in the online TPS Warframe (available on PC / Switch 2 / PS5 / Xbox Series X|S / Switch / PS4 / Xbox One / iOS) in December.
This side story will be added simultaneously with the upcoming major update “The Old Peace,” scheduled for December. It features three new Protoframes and Gemini skins, an expanded romance & camaraderie system, and a brand-new game mode: “The Descendia.”
“The Descendia” is a mode where players descend into the depths of a twisted tower, fighting through 21 randomly generated floors. Difficulty increases with each floor climbed, rewarding players with various cosmetics and in-game items.

Digital Extremes Dives Into Hell’s Depths With “The Devil’s Triangle”
A Side Story Launching Concurrently with “The Old Peace” Update in December Across All Platforms
During October’s Devstream, Digital Extremes unveiled further details about Warframe’s upcoming expansion chapter, “The Old Peace,” set for release this December. Alongside the year’s largest update, the dark narrative of the new side story “The Devil’s Triangle” was also revealed.
In this full-fledged story experience, players will encounter three brand-new Protoframes and Gemini skins, an expanded romance & camaraderie system, and a terrifying new game mode: “The Descendia.”
The stream also featured the first public reveal of Gyre Prime, the introduction of a major Focus School expansion that transforms gameplay, details on the upcoming Android closed beta test scheduled for November, and a preview of the real-world event TennoCon 2026, set to take place from July 10–11, 2026.

Encounter “The Devil’s Triangle” – A side story featuring three new Protoframes tied together by Albrecht Entrati’s dark legacy:
- Deepen bonds with Wisp (Marie Leroux), Harrow (Father Lyon Allard), and Uriel, the latest Warframe (Vice Regent Grand Carnus Roathe) through an expanded romance & camaraderie system.
- Experience fully voiced Gemini skins brought to life by a star-studded voice cast including Elsa Perusin (Brosta), Will de Renzy-Martin (Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake), and Ren Zagger (Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers / Endwalker).
◆ Uncover the truth buried beneath, and survive. The new mode “The Descendia” arrives.
- Venture into the depths of a twisted tower, exploring ever-changing labyrinths. Battle through 21 randomly generated floors with increasing difficulty as you progress.
- Floor layouts change every week—prepare for the unknown. However, one constant floor remains: every seventh floor brings an encounter with one of “The Devil’s Triangle.”
- Forge deals with each Protoframe to obtain unique cosmetics and in-game rewards.
- Collect audio logs to uncover the torment and trials of the Triad, unraveling their full story.
- Rest in peace: Use checkpoints to seamlessly resume gameplay before the next weekly reset.
- Digital Extremes will reveal further details about another new game mode, “The Perita Rebellion,” during November’s Devstream—set to launch alongside “The Old Peace” update in December.
