At the BenQ booth during Tokyo Game Show 2025, the new organic EL displays from the gamer-focused monitor brand MOBIUZ were on display. The lineup includes a 26.5-inch model, the EX271UZ, and a 31.5-inch model, the EX321UZ.
Recently, gaming monitors equipped with organic EL panels have been increasing in number, and many gamers are likely considering upgrading to an organic EL display soon. This article takes a closer look at these two notable models: the EX271UZ and EX321UZ.

Given that BenQ also has a department specializing in lighting equipment, the booth’s illumination is exceptionally good—possibly offering the best color reproduction among all TGS booths. This makes it easy to gauge overall peak performance and ideal for checking image quality. The EX271UZ is scheduled for release on October 7 and has already begun accepting pre-orders. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price, including tax, is ¥198,000. Additionally, BenQ is running a special “TGS Pre-order Campaign” until October 12. By entering a coupon code at the official BenQ store, you can purchase it for just ¥151,470—a very competitive price given its specifications.

Meanwhile, the EX321UZ is slated for release within 2025, though its price has not yet been announced.

Aside from size, both models share many common specifications. They use Samsung Display’s fourth-generation quantum dot organic EL (QD-OLED) panels with a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels and a maximum vertical refresh rate of 240Hz. The intermediate response time is an impressive 0.03ms, and they support AMD’s proprietary display synchronization technology, “FreeSync Premium Pro.”
Peak brightness reaches 1000 cd/m², and the displays have achieved VESA’s HDR certification standard “DisplayHDR True Black 400.” Additionally, their coverage of DCI-P3 color space—commonly used in digital cinema—is as high as 99%.

While some users may worry about image retention (burn-in) with organic EL displays, BenQ claims the EX271UZ reduces this risk and enables fanless operation by incorporating a graphene film to protect the organic EL panel. Graphene has high thermal conductivity, which is why it’s often used in cooling systems for OLED panels.
Both the EX271UZ and EX321UZ follow key trends seen in top-tier gaming monitors, with few functional shortcomings. Ultimately, your choice between them should come down to personal preference regarding image display quality.
The EX271UZ features connection interfaces including one DisplayPort 1.4 port, two HDMI 2.1 ports (one of which supports HDMI eARC), and two USB Type-C ports. One of the USB Type-C ports supports both DisplayPort Alternate Mode input and up to 90W of power delivery.

The color adjustment presets known as “Color Mode” offer the same three options found in previous MOBIUZ models: “Fantasy,” “Sci-Fi,” and “Realistic”—each tailored to match different game art styles. At the booth, comparisons between standard settings and these modes were demonstrated.

Additional features include “Smart Game Art,” which uses AI to automatically adjust the color mode; “Spectral Color Correction” for smooth color reproduction; and “High Pixel Contrast Adjustment,” where AI dynamically adjusts contrast in real time. These advanced functions are difficult to understand without hands-on demonstration, so checking out the booth display and listening to staff explanations is highly recommended.
A QR code for the proprietary software “Color Shuttle,” which allows optimized image settings per game title, was also displayed at the booth.
