City Connection announced on September 26, 2025, the development of “Mamoru Kun is Cursed! 2 (TBA)”. Platform and pricing remain undetermined.

City Connection, Inc. announced today, September 26 (Friday), during the music event “Mamonoro KAI! Release Party – YO-KAI Disco Fever,” that development of the new game “Mamoru Kun is Cursed! 2 (TBA)” has been confirmed.
“Mamoru Kun is Cursed! 2 (TBA)” is the latest entry in the beloved shooting game series “Mamoru Kun is Cursed!” known for its cute, pop-style characters and music. It is a joint development project between G.rev and City Connection. The platform and release date remain undetermined; further information will be shared via City Connection’s official X account.

The definitive edition “Mamonoro KAI! ~Mamoru Kun is Cursed!~”, which compiles all previous game modes, additional characters, and music from the series, is now available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.

How long has it been since the moment I thought I was about to be hit by a car?
When I came to, Mamoru Kun had been transported to a strange world.
“Hi everyone! Welcome to the Underworld!”
According to Fururu, the underworld priestess of Hell Valley, she summoned “the chosen soul” to save the realm from crisis. Ignoring the protests of other children and teenagers who shared Mamoru’s fate, Fururu continued speaking.
Now, someone is attempting to open the gate to the “Dark World.” As a result, the inhabitants of the Underworld have been cursed. To rescue the realm, the residents must be purified, and the opening of the Dark World’s gateway prevented.
“Alright, heroes! Let’s all work hard for the sake of the Underworld!”
And so, Mamoru Kun, summoned to the Underworld, begins his battle—on a quest to return home.

Mamoru Kun can use “Cursed Bullets” powered by his spirit companions, in addition to the main shot.
A single tap launches a “Weak Cursed Bullet” that detonates directly in front of him. Contact with the cursed field affects both enemies and himself with curses!
Hold to charge for long-range “Strong Cursed Bullets.” The initial shockwave can erase enemy bullets, granting brief invincibility! Enemies under curse take continuous damage—defeating them spawns a large number of score items!
When cursed yourself, power and speed increase temporarily. However, while cursed, you cannot fire cursed bullets; once the curse lifts, your power drops.
Master the curse’s abilities and journey through the vast Underworld.
