This game is a science fiction space RPG set in the “Starward Belt,” where remnants of interplanetary capitalism drift through space. Players take on the role of a “Sleeper”—an individual whose consciousness has been transferred into an android—interacting with people discarded by capitalism, accepting jobs, and striving to survive in this world.

Players are given multiple dice to use for decisions, choices, and actions. Higher die rolls increase success rates, while lower values make success less likely. The timing of when to use which roll is entirely up to the player—this creates a unique form of resource management and decision-making distinct from other games.

A story of outsiders, beautifully translated and crafted

On October 30, 2025, Fellow Traveller (based in Melbourne, Australia) released a new multilingual update for the science fiction space RPG Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector, adding Japanese support. The update is available for PC, as well as dedicated releases for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch in Japan.

The game is set in the cyberpunk “Starward Belt,” a region littered with remnants of interplanetary capitalism. Players assume control of a “Sleeper”—a consciousness transferred into an android designed by a major corporation—embarking on a journey across vast reaches of space.

Although highly acclaimed since its February 2025 release, the game previously supported only English. Now it includes Japanese, French, and Simplified Chinese translations. The “Helion Collection,” which bundles this title with its award-winning predecessor, is also available for fans to enjoy the expansive journey built around rich text and dice-based mechanics.

A personality inside an android, surviving in a capitalist universe

Set in the cyberpunk “Starward Belt,” a realm filled with remnants of interplanetary capitalism, this science fiction space RPG follows you as a “Sleeper”—a consciousness transferred into an android created by a large corporation. You interact with those cast aside by capitalism, take on daily jobs, and struggle to survive in this harsh world.

This localization effort maintains high quality, faithfully translating the game’s charm and developer vision without compromise—making it accessible for many more players worldwide.

A unique dice-based system—your fate is in your resources

In this game, you begin each day with multiple dice to use for decisions, choices, and actions. Higher die values increase the chance of success; lower ones make it harder. Deciding when to use high-value rolls or whether to push through with low ones demands a distinctive form of resource management—different from most other RPGs. Surviving each day will be challenging, requiring careful judgment.

Depart from stations and journey across the vast cosmos

While the first game was set on a space station, this sequel expands beyond it—allowing players to travel through open space. Acquire a ship, gather a crew, accept contracts, and move between locations. This broader adventure brings in new layers: repairing your vessel, building trust with your crew, and deepening relationships—making the journey even more immersive and meaningful.
