Nexon to Launch Open Beta for ‘THE FINALS’ in China on November 18
Tencent to Handle Publishing and Localization in China
Nexon Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato Ward, Tokyo; CEO: Jung-hon Lee / Lee Jeong-hon; TSE: 3659), a company engaged in the development and operation of online games, today announced that the open beta for ‘THE FINALS’ in China will begin on November 18. As Nexon’s publishing partner in China, Tencent will operate the open beta and customize the game to better suit Chinese players’ preferences.
‘THE FINALS’ is a free-to-play FPS game renowned for its team-based battles in destructible environments, receiving high acclaim. Developed by Embark Studios AB, a subsidiary headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden (CEO: Patrick Söderlund; hereinafter “Embark Studios”), the game was globally launched in December 2023. In September this year, Embark Studios released Season 8 of ‘THE FINALS’.

Nexon and Embark Studios signed a publishing agreement with Tencent in 2024 for localized versions of both ‘THE FINALS’ and ‘ARC Raiders’ in China.
Additionally, today Embark Studios officially released ‘ARC Raiders’ worldwide. ‘ARC Raiders’ is a multiplayer extraction adventure set on a future Earth devastated by mysterious mechanical lifeforms known as “ARC.” The game will be available for download and purchase on Steam, the Epic Games Store, Xbox Series X|S Store, and PlayStation Store. A China-localized version of ‘ARC Raiders’ is currently under development.
