Aggro Crab and Landfall have announced today (October 31, 2025) that they will release an update adding a new biome called “Roots” to their online cooperative climbing game [PEAK], available on Steam, on November 5.
In this game, players take on the role of a member of a group of naturalists who have crash-landed on a mysterious island and must climb the mountain at its center. The game supports multiplayer for up to four players, offering cooperative gameplay where teammates help each other overcome challenges—such as holding hands while climbing or setting up ropes and spikes to assist their partners.

Details about the new biome remain unclear, but the trailer released alongside the announcement shows players navigating elevated platforms in trees being instantly snatched away by a spider appearing overhead.
