Sharkmob has announced that it will shut down the servers and end services for its free-to-play battle royale game “Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt” (available on PC / PS5) on April 28, 2026.
“Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt” is based on the tabletop RPG “World of Darkness.” The story unfolds as vampire clans, previously in a state of truce, abandon their 500-year-old laws, leading to intense conflict among rebellious factions (Anarchs) centered in Prague.
The game is a third-person action title where up to 45 players control characters divided into six archetypes, each with unique abilities. Players battle using firearms and melee weapons in an effort to survive as individuals or in teams of three until only one remains.
Although “Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt” features a distinctive world built around a popular IP with strong fan appeal, it failed to achieve significant player numbers even during early access. In May 2023, the official website announced that major updates would no longer be actively pursued (link).
With this announcement of the shutdown, sales of tokens required to purchase in-game items have ended. Tokens already owned can still be used in the store. It has also been confirmed that all player data will be deleted after service ends.
According to SteamDB data (link), around 250–500 players have consistently enjoyed the PC version, so finding opponents should not be difficult. Although there’s about six months left until the shutdown, those interested are encouraged to give it a try.
