Kalypso Media Japan today (October 29, 2025) has launched the latest downloadable content (DLC) for its railway management simulation game Railway Empire 2—“Steel Dragons”, available on PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and Xbox One. The DLC is priced at 1,694 yen (tax included). A sale is currently running: a 10% discount for the PC and PlayStation versions, and a 35% discount for the Xbox version.
The new DLC introduces the vast new map of China, along with three brand-new scenarios: “A Thousand Miles Begins with a Single Step,” “Journey to the West,” and “Fireworks and Bicycles.” Eight historically accurate Chinese steam locomotives, including the China Rocket and Victory 8, are now playable. Additionally, over 20 new regional specialties—such as traditional medicine, fireworks, bamboo, gunpowder, and silk products—are now transportable.
