On October 29, 2025, I-O Data (hereinafter IO data) launched a new product under its gamer-focused display brand “GigaCrysta”: the LCD-GDU271JAD, a 27-inch liquid crystal display featuring an AHVA (Advanced Hyper-Viewing Angle) panel with a resolution of 3840×2160 pixels (hereinafter referred to as 4K).
The standout feature is its support for Dual Frame Rate—capable of displaying at up to 160Hz vertical refresh rate in 4K resolution, and switching to 320Hz when set to 1920×1080 resolution (commonly known as dual mode).
The price at the company’s official store is ¥62,800 (tax included).
The LCD-GDU271JAD was first showcased at Tokyo Game Show 2025 in September 2025 (related article). Its ability to switch between two display resolutions and maximum vertical refresh rates enables users to select the optimal visual settings for a wide range of games—all from one monitor.
Additionally, it features “Focus Mode,” a feature commonly found on displays aimed at esports. This mode makes content appear as if displayed on a 24-inch screen while maintaining the same physical size, helping improve focus and concentration. While other manufacturers also offer functions that limit display area, IO data’s Focus Mode uses blinking white borders in areas normally appearing black to create an optical illusion, enhancing user concentration.
