THQ Nordic Japan today (October 29, 2025) has begun distributing the demo version of its upcoming action-adventure game “SpongeBob: Titans of the Sea”, scheduled for release on November 18th, for the Nintendo Switch 2.

This title is based on the popular animated series “SpongeBob SquarePants.” In a chaotic twist, the ghost captain and King Neptune have gone to war, causing Bikini Bottom to become overrun with ghosts. To restore order, SpongeBob and Patrick set out on a lively, slapstick adventure, using their skills, courage—and just a touch of cleverness—to overcome obstacles.

Players will switch between SpongeBob and Patrick to progress through stages. Use Patrick’s grappling hook, digging abilities, and other skills to clear paths forward. Explore iconic locations from the anime such as King Neptune’s castle and Bikini Hill, battling formidable bosses like the ghost captain, King Neptune, and hibernating Sandy.
Additionally, the game features voice acting by the original animation cast.
