The bookstore invasion by Fourth Boundary × Wanibooks has begun
Fourth Boundary, the creative collective behind works such as The Wallet and Mirror’s Special Youth Rehabilitation Facility, is proud to announce our new everyday-erosion game: Nonraison 1st Photo Book
.
Nonraison 1st Photo Book
marks a new form of everyday-erosion game, beginning with the long-awaited debut commemorative photo book “QUINTET” from the singing and dancing idol group Nonraison.
While Nonraison is a fictional idol group, the photo book “QUINTET” is an actual publication by Wanibooks, known for its extensive portfolio of photo books. This deluxe 128-page volume will be available at bookstores nationwide starting December 17.
The theme of the photo book is “Our Memories.” With laughter, tears, and more laughter—four members who have been classmates since middle school reflect on their shared past, retracing memories and meaningful places from their lives in an authentic portrayal of themselves.
From the school rooftop and gymnasium to the seaside and railroad crossing—every location holds the “origin” of each member, capturing their unchanging friendship, hopes for the future, and sincere feelings in one heartfelt volume.
Since Fourth Boundary’s games are built upon everyday reality as a platform, no gaming devices or dedicated apps are required. Players will experience the ambiguity between fiction and reality—wondering whether it’s part of the game or something real.
In this release, players will connect with the girls’ friendship through the photo book and delve into their heartfelt emotions. To appeal to a broader audience, we’ve placed greater emphasis on the photo book portion, making the overall experience more accessible and light-hearted. Details about the gameplay are intentionally left undisclosed—please pick up the book and discover it for yourself.
This is an everyday-erosion campaign centered around bookstores, conducted jointly by Fourth Boundary and Wanibooks.
Pre-orders are currently available on Amazon in advance of the official release. The price is ¥4,500 (tax included).
We would be truly delighted if you could come to recognize them and blur their boundaries with reality.
