New game "Living in Fernia Village" by the director and writer of Rune Factory 4 is currently live on Kickstarter crowdfunding

Shinichi Maeba, who served as director for Rune Factory 4, and Takato Tsuji, also a writer on the same title, have launched a Kickstarter campaign for their new PC-exclusive game titled “[Living in Farnia Village]” on October 28, 2025. The funding goal is set at ¥5 million.

This game is an agricultural adventure romance life simulation where the protagonist—remembering only their own name—rents a house and farmland to begin village life. Players can cultivate crops, harvest produce, explore dungeons on adventures, pursue romantic relationships with villagers, get married, and enjoy various other content. A trailer showcasing farming tasks and combat against enemies has also been released; please see it below.

In addition to the protagonist, several characters have been revealed: “Majinjou-chan,” a girl who can eat almost anything; Erika, a cheerful shopkeeper running a bento stand; Lamta, a handsome demon working at a clothing store; and Kaguya, an arrogant free spirit whose greeting is biting. Character illustrations are being created by renowned artists Benitama, Kannnu, and BOKI Shimoor. Note that the currently released images are rough concept sketches intended solely for modeling purposes.

The protagonist—remembering only their own name—rents a home and farmland to begin life in the village. Cultivate the land, go fishing, pursue romance, cook meals, forge weapons, care for pets, explore the world, and teach a mysterious girl about the importance of food.
