Denmark-based game studio Autoscopia Interactive has released its debut PC title, As Long As You’re Here, on Steam today, October 28, 2025. The standard price is 1,200 JPY (tax included), and a launch sale offering a 15% discount is currently running until November 5.
This game is a first-person narrative experience based on real-life events. Players take on the role of Annie, a woman living with Alzheimer’s disease, experiencing her doubts, loneliness, and fragility through her life journey while quietly confronting the theme of “living with dementia.”

The story takes place in Annie’s new home after moving from her longtime family residence. Conflicts arise among her children regarding how to care for her, while memories of her late brother gradually resurface.

As Annie’s condition worsens, the boundary between past and present becomes increasingly blurred. This rare game offers a first-person perspective of living with dementia and was originally created as an 8-week student project. Creator Marlène Delrive began development after losing her grandmother to Alzheimer’s disease.
The game has been downloaded over 13,500 times on itch.io and amassed over 7 million views on YouTube. It was nominated for the “Best Student Game” award at the 2020 Independent Games Festival. Subsequently expanded, it was also shortlisted for “Game of the Year” at SXSW Sydney 2025.

A Story from the Perspective of Someone Living with Alzheimer’s: Confronting Memory Loss

The Developer’s Vision
Creator Marlène Delrive began developing the game after losing her grandmother to Alzheimer’s disease. Her motivation stemmed from a desire to overcome grief and understand what her grandmother might have felt while memories slowly slipped away—this became the foundation of As Long As You’re Here.
