KRAFTON today (October 29, 2025) has released the latest update for its PC-based survival life simulation game “Dinkum”, titled “Trails of the Animals.”
This latest update introduces a variety of exciting new features, including a new vehicle—the locomotive, the “Conductor Set” outfit, and a brand-new animal breeding system. To raise animals, players must obtain an animal breeding license at a certain level and breed farm animals to produce offspring. Additionally, the update adds the “Auto-Feeder,” which automatically supplies items into grills and stoves, as well as three new animals: “Ondori,” “Penguin,” and “Wombat.”

KRAFTON JAPAN Co., Ltd. (President & CEO Lee Kang-sok) is pleased to announce that the Steam version of the survival life simulation game “Dinkum” has launched a new update titled “Trails of the Animals” on October 29, 2025.
This update centers on expanding game systems and adding the new transportation option—the locomotive—enhancing players’ life simulation experience in “Dinkum.”
Update Content: “Trails of the Animals”
● New Vehicle: Locomotive
A brand-new vehicle, the locomotive, has been added to “Dinkum.” It greatly expands island exploration and transportation options. Players can craft this locomotive through NPC Franklin and build their own railway network by constructing tracks and bridges across the island—connecting straight and curved rails, building bridges along terrain features, and creating a unique rail system.
Additionally, the newly added “Conductor Set” outfit enhances character customization. This item can be obtained through various methods, such as purchasing from clothing shops, receiving it as a gift from villagers, or finding it in recycling bins.
● New System: Animal Breeding
The centerpiece of this update is the Animal Husbandry System, which allows players to breed farm animals and add offspring to their farms—provided they obtain an animal breeding license at a certain level.
We encourage players to make full use of the “Animal Breeding License” for deeper, more sustainable farm management. New animals have also been added: Ondori, Penguin, and Wombat.
● Items & Crafting
The update introduces new crafting materials as well as a new item called the Auto-Feeder, which automatically feeds items into processing tools like grills and stoves.
