VRChat has officially launched its iOS and Android versions today (October 25, 2025), as announced on the official X account. The base game is free to play. An announcement trailer produced by Irish animation studio Studio Meala has also been released.
VRChat is Now Available on iOS and Android!
Originally launched in 2014 for PC and Oculus Rift, with an early access version available on Steam in 2017, “VRChat” is a social VR platform set in virtual spaces where numerous players interact through avatars. Users can explore various worlds together, participate in events, or enjoy mini-games.
Although the title includes “VR,” using VR devices is not mandatory—on PC, you can play in desktop mode using a mouse and keyboard. Due to its publicly available SDK, which allows users to create their own content, numerous communities have formed around the world.
Now accessible even without a gaming PC or VR device, VRChat offers an easy way to get started. Take this opportunity to try it out!
