Sega today (October 23, 2025) has launched a free update titled “Joker” for Sonic Racing CrossWorlds on PC, Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PS4, and Xbox One.
Joker is the protagonist from Persona 5 Royal. This update adds not only Joker as a playable character, but also an original vehicle called “Arsène Wing,” and three tracks from Persona 5 Royal: “Take Over,” “Wake Up, Get Up, Get Out There,” and “Victory.” Some of these songs can be set as in-race BGMs via the jukebox.

Additionally, a special collaboration event titled “P5R Joker Fest” will run from October 24 at 9:00 AM to October 27 at 8:59 AM (JST). This online race features teams of three competing for the highest total rank points. Each festival includes unique team challenges with special rules.
Accumulating Festival Points unlocks exclusive in-game items such as stickers and horns.

Sega Corporation today announced the release of a free update titled “Joker (from Persona 5 Royal)” for its critically acclaimed title Sonic Racing CrossWorlds, starting October 23, 2025. Additionally, a limited-time collaboration event called “P5R Joker Fest” will begin on October 24. During the event period, players can earn Festival Points to unlock exclusive in-game items unique to this collaboration.
Since its launch, Sonic Racing CrossWorlds has surpassed cumulative global sales of 1 million copies (※1). Over 74.5 million races, over 31.5 million Grand Prix events, and over 13 million ranked matches have been played so far—and the game continues to be enjoyed by countless players around the world.
