Bilibili has announced today (October 23, 2025) that sales of its new title [Escape from Dackoff], developed by Team Soda, have surpassed 1 million copies—achieving this milestone in just one week since its release on October 16.
The game features a cute duck character as the protagonist, and is a top-down route shooter where players explore maps filled with various enemies to search for supplies. As quests are completed, new items become available, unlocking access to additional maps. Players can also upgrade their character and expand base functions using materials collected during gameplay.

Although the title suggests strong influence from “Escape from Tarkov,” it offers a more casual experience—featuring a top-down perspective, selectable difficulty levels, and free map exploration.
On the game’s official X account, a campaign is currently running to commemorate surpassing 1 million sales: users can enter a draw to win free game keys by following and retweeting. This could be worthwhile for those who are interested but haven’t purchased yet, or want to gift the game to friends.

Incidentally, Nikita Buyanov, CEO of Battlestate Games—the developer behind Escape from Tarkov—has praised the announcement with the words “congratz guys! ducks are cool!” on X, showing his support. As a pioneer in the route shooter genre, and now inspiring a new title like Dackoff, there may one day be a collaboration between the two games.
