Astergame has today (October 24, 2025) released its PC game Tipsy Cat on Steam. The standard price is 550 yen (tax included), but during a special sale period ending November 7, it will be available at a 20% discount for 440 yen (tax included).
This game is an adventure experience centered around enjoying music in a bar. At the beginning of each day, players select a record, which then determines how the story unfolds. Within each scenario, players can enjoy mini-games such as mixing cocktails and naming cocktails, allowing them to fully immerse themselves in the game’s unique bar atmosphere.
Additionally, the game will be featured at two upcoming events: M3, a music and media crossover doujin market held on October 26 at Tokyo Distribution Center, and Game Dungeon 10, an indie game exhibition scheduled for November 9 at the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Trade Center Hamamatsucho Branch. Indie game development team Astergame is releasing Tipsy Cat, a music-themed adventure novel set in a bar, for PC on October 24, 2025. Players choose the music played at the bar, and the story evolves accordingly with each selection.
2. Game Flow
At the start of each day, players select a record, which determines the scenario that unfolds. Within each scenario, there are mini-games such as making cocktails and deciding cocktail names, allowing players to enjoy the unique atmosphere of the bar.
On the track selection screen, records appear randomly. Players can hover over album covers to preview tracks. They may choose based on artwork or by listening first and picking a record they like.

At the record shop, players can purchase records. Once bought, these records become available in the track selection screen, and the number of purchasable records increases as the game progresses.

4. [Topics] How This Game Came to Be
The idea began with a discussion about creating a compilation album themed around the VOCALOID song “Mai Zuii Neko” by Soshina. The scenario writer, SooDaa, was asked if he’d write a short story for the album’s lyric booklet. Responding “Why not turn it into a game?” sparked the project’s beginning. What started as a simple short story eventually took over a year to develop and grew into a full-length game with more than one hour of gameplay.
