Ubisoft has today (October 24, 2025) announced that the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be released on December 2, and unveiled a trailer (external link). The price is 7,150 yen (tax included).

This action-adventure game lets players experience feudal Japan through two protagonists: “Naoe,” a stealthy ninja, and “Yasuke,” a powerful samurai. The PC,PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions have been available since March.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version supports all gameplay modes and allows seamless play at home or on the go. Thanks to cross-progression via Ubisoft Connect, players can share their progress across platforms.

Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be released on Nintendo Switch 2 on December 2, 2025. The Nintendo Switch 2 version supports all gameplay modes and enables seamless gaming at home or while traveling. It also features touch screen controls for more intuitive navigation of menus, maps, and hideouts.

At launch, the Nintendo Switch 2 edition will include all updates released after the game’s initial release. However, the first expansion content, “The Trap on Awaji,” is scheduled to be released early next year.

The game will be available for purchase on December 2, priced at 7,150 yen (tax included), in either physical format with a Nintendo Switch 2 key card or digital download via the Nintendo eShop. The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Assassin’s Creed Shadows supports cross-progression across all platforms through Ubisoft Connect, allowing players to seamlessly continue their adventure regardless of platform.
