Spike Chunsoft today (October 24, 2025) announced that “Super Danganronpa 2×2”—scheduled for release in 2026 on PC / Nintendo Switch 2 / PlayStation 5 / Xbox Series X|S / Nintendo Switch—has cast Wasaabi Mizuta as the new voice actor for Monokuma.
Mizuta is a renowned voice actress known for voicing Doraemon and serving as narrator on TBS’s weekly “Ravitt!” show from Monday to Friday. In connection with this casting, a special video titled “Monokuma’s Greeting!” has been released along with comments from the game’s producer, Shohei Sakagawa.
Additionally, pre-orders for the “Nendoroid Monokuma 2.0” have begun, and sales of an original red wine commemorating the 15th anniversary of the Danganronpa series—titled “Hope and Despair Red Wine —Danganronpa—"—are now underway.

Spike Chunsoft Co., Ltd. has announced that voice actress Wasaabi Mizuta will be portraying Monokuma, one of the most iconic characters in the entire Danganronpa series, in the upcoming high-speed deduction action game “Super Danganronpa 2×2”, set for release on Nintendo Switch 2 / Nintendo Switch / PlayStation 5 / Xbox Series X|S / Steam in 2026.
