Dengeki announced on October 23, 2025, that the expansion packs “Mega Raising Mega Gyarados,” “Mega Raising Mega Charizard,” and “Mega Raising Mega Typhlosion” will be added to the smartphone app Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket (iOS / Android) on October 30.
This new expansion pack marks the launch of a fresh series in Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, introducing Pokémon in their “Mega Evolved forms” for the first time.

Alongside this update, a 1st-anniversary update will introduce the new feature “Sharing,” allowing players to send cards from ♢1 to ♢4 to friends. The tradeable card range has been expanded, and improvements have been made to the Get Challenge system.
Additionally, as part of the 1st-anniversary celebration, several events are being held: a special anniversary campaign, exclusive milestone missions, the “Re-release PROMO Drop Event 2025,” and the “Re-release PROMO Get Challenge Event 2025.”

1. 1st-Anniversary Update Details
Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket (PokéPoke) will officially celebrate its 1st anniversary on Thursday, October 30, 2025. To make card collecting more accessible and enjoyable for even more players, three updates are scheduled for release on October 30.

• New Feature “Sharing” Now Available
Players can now send cards from ♢1 to ♢4 (up to the latest expansion) to friends. Each day, you can send one card per friend—only if they don’t already have it or if they desire it. You can receive only one card via “Sharing” per day.

• Expanded Tradeable Card Range
Cards from the latest expansion pack will now be tradeable. In addition to previous ♢1–♢4 and ★1, cards with ★2 rarity and color variants 1–2 are also now eligible for trading.

• Enhanced Get Challenge Functionality
The chances of encountering cards you don’t already own in the latest expansion pack have increased. Your current collection count for each card shown in a Get Challenge will now be displayed.

On Thursday, October 30, 2025, the new expansion pack “Mega Raising Mega Gyarados,” “Mega Raising Mega Charizard,” and “Mega Raising Mega Typhlosion” will be released. With this release, Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket launches a brand-new series, introducing Pokémon in their “Mega Evolved forms” for the first time ever. Experience an even broader collection journey with Pokémon cards.

5. Multiple Events to Celebrate the 1st Anniversary
To commemorate Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket’s official 1-year anniversary, a series of events and campaigns will be held.

A re-run of the promotional card event featuring cards from Series A. Win battles to earn Promo Card Packs #1–6 and #8–13. Additionally, by completing missions, you can obtain Event Shop Tickets to trade for any desired promo card (one per ticket) at the shop or exchange station.
• Re-release PROMO Get Challenge Event 2025
Promotional cards from Series A that previously appeared in Get Challenges will reappear. Completing missions also earns Event Shop Tickets, which can be used to trade for any desired promo card (one per ticket) at the shop or exchange station.
(2) “PokéPoke” Tokyo Metro Stamp Rally

To celebrate the game’s 1st anniversary, a collaboration campaign with Tokyo Metro is launching. Collect stamps across 10 zones and 30 stations to unlock Pokémon Pocket original wallpapers based on your total collected count. Additionally, completing all 30 stations unlocks a special second chance: 50 lucky winners will receive an exclusive “PokéPoke” original pass case.

The official 1st-anniversary video titled "【Official】PokéPoke 1st Anniversary Video ‘POKÉMON TCG POCKET MEMORIES’" will be released on Thursday, October 30. Additionally, it will premiere early in New York’s Times Square on Wednesday, October 29 (Eastern Time).
As of the anniversary date, Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket has surpassed 150 million downloads.
The video reflects on past expansion packs and cards using various statistics to express gratitude for all players’ participation and delivers a heartfelt message: “Let’s enjoy opening packs together!”
