What is “DIABOLIK LOVERS”?
The “DIABOLIK LOVERS” (Diavolo) series began in 2011 when Rejet first released a situational CD. In the following year, 2012, a game was published by Otomate, and since then it has expanded across various media including anime and stage productions. The series gained widespread attention for its immersive audio experience using dummy head microphones, as well as its unique “dominant S” (dS) characters—uncommon in female-oriented games at the time—and continues to captivate fans worldwide.

[Karla Tsukinami’s vow takes shape]
The protagonist of this installment is Tsukinami Karla (CV: Tomokazu Sugita), the eldest son of the Tsukinami family. A proud and composed ancestor who lives by his vows, he carries an unshakable resolve beneath a quiet exterior—lonely yet resolute.
A vampire ancestor endowed with both intellect and rationality,
yet concealing a sadistic violent nature beneath the surface.
Though possessing overwhelming power as an ancestor,
his long life has led to a lazy disposition.
He draws closer to the protagonist for reasons of his own secret purpose. From official website
In the story, Karla confronts his personal vow through his interactions with “you,” ultimately choosing the feelings he refuses to surrender.
[Vol.3 Tsukinami Family – Synopsis]
We who govern the moon — I can dominate the moon.
— The First Blood is a symbol of all things.
The gift he gave you shone with one gem resembling a fig.
This fruit, even more captivating than you.
His body, worn and fading,
chose to live here with you.
Until this world ends,
I have the duty to illuminate the dark night.
Until I fulfill my ambition as an ancestor, for the sake of loving you—
his resolve will never waver.
This story is recorded as a “dS vampire love DHM situational drama,” allowing listeners to experience Karla’s relationship with even greater depth.
Additionally, his character song “MoonShadow” is included in this release.
“MoonShadow” captures the hidden emotions within Karla Tsukinami—a unique world where stillness and intensity coexist. The lyrics convey vows, love, and their accompanying inner struggles, while the heavy melody enhances Karla’s powerful presence.
The passionate fire beneath his calm demeanor and his solitary nature—Karla’s profound depth quietly emerges through music and words.
Meanwhile, Rejet’s official YouTube channel has also released a preview video of the character song. Those intrigued are encouraged to listen first and get a feel for the work’s atmosphere.
[Message from Tomokazu Sugita]
Tomokazu Sugita, who voices Karla Tsukinami, shared his thoughts on this project. He discusses his impressions of the song, what he focused on while singing, and his approach to the drama segment—be sure to pay close attention if you’re looking forward to experiencing this release.
— How did you feel when first receiving this track? And were there any particular points you kept in mind while recording it?
Tomokazu Sugita (hereafter, Mr. Sugita):
First, hearing the song made me feel Karla’s intense passion. I could sense his weight and dignity as well. While singing, I consciously tried to convey his presence as an ancestor, along with the loneliness and inner conflict hidden within him.
— What aspects of the character did you highlight in the drama segment? Were there any scenes particularly meaningful or challenging for you to portray?
Mr. Sugita:
In the drama part, we saw a different side of Karla—a quiet gentleness that contrasts with his usual calm and dignified demeanor. He seemed awkward when trying to close distances—yet this hesitation itself became one of his charms. I made sure to express that unique atmosphere.
— Since this is “family songs” (kason), if you were to live at the Tsukinami household for a week, what would you like to do?
Mr. Sugita:
Hmm… living in the Tsukinami mansion might be quite stressful. If I had to share space with someone, I’d stay as far as possible—preferably in the deepest room of the house, keeping our interactions minimal. But maybe once a day, we could have tea together (laughs).
— Finally, a message for fans eagerly awaiting this release:
Mr. Sugita:
Please immerse yourselves completely in both the music and drama to truly experience Karla’s charm. By the way, I got so thirsty during recording—I’d be happy to let you take a sip… just stick your neck out a bit? Let me have a little taste… tut-tut (laughs). So please continue enjoying “DIABOLIK LOVERS,” and don’t forget about Karla!
“DIABOLIK LOVERS SONG OF EMBLEM Vol.3 Tsukinami Family” is available for purchase at physical stores like Rejet shop, female-oriented online retailers such as SKiT Dolce, and various other sales platforms.
The next installment, the fourth volume, will spotlight the Sōn family. Cast comments will be shared upon its release—so stay tuned!
